Don Briscoe Memorial Scholarship

A special category of mutli-year scholarships are awarded that are named in honor of deceased members who provided exceptional service and leadership to The Breakfast Group and those whom we serve.  These are $4,000 scholarships that are paid out over a 4 year period.

Don Briscoe retired in 2010 from the Labor Industry following more than 30 years of dedicated service.  He spent nearly 21 years working as a labor administrator for PTE Local 17 in Seattle and most of his working life was spent advocating for working people.

Don almost single-handedly took on the task of organizing and facilitating The Breakfast Group's All Achievers Awards event during the years 2000-2010.  He was the face of the event, which has honored, recognized and rewarded more than 650 youth for accomplishments that have defined their capabilities for success in their future endeavors.  

The Breakfast Group is very proud to name this scholarship in honor of Don Briscoe, who raised the All Achievers Awards to its current level of prominence.
